Dr Antinoff obtained her DVM from the University of Wisconsin, followed by an Internship in small animal medicine and surgery and a residency in Avian & Exotic Pet Medicine and Surgery. Following ABVP board certification, she established Gulf Coast Avian & Exotics, a part of Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, where she worked for 22 years.  This was the first specialty exotics practice operating as part of a referral center in the country. After a brief return to general practice, Dr. Antinoff joined and became the medical director of Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital, where she currently continues to work part-time.

Dr. Antinoff is also a DVM editor for the Merck Veterinary Manual and has served on the editorial boards of several veterinary journals. She has authored chapters and articles for veterinary texts and journals and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally to veterinarians and pet owners. She has been awarded the AAV Speaker of the Year Award twice, and the Texas Non-traditional Species Practitioner of the Year Award. She has also served as a consultant for VIN (Veterinary Information Network), providing interactive support to veterinarians nationwide. She has mentored more than 35 veterinary interns and residents in exotic pet medicine.

In her spare time, she enjoys travel, rollerblading (often combining both), and spending time with her 4 dogs, 2 birds and tortoise!
