Professor Campbell was a veterinarian at Sea World of Florida from 1988 to 1996, where he worked with their animal care department; treating anything from invertebrates up to killer whales. He has over 30 years of experience in exotic animal medicine. Professor Campbell’s responsibilities include spending the majority of his time dealing with clinical cases, and the remainder doing didactic teaching, research and publication. His research interests focus on exotic animal cytology, hematology, and plasma biochemistry. He is the author of Exotic Animal Hematology and Cytology, 4th edition (2015), the definitive hematologic and cytologic reference for all veterinarians and researchers working with avian and exotic animals. Professor Campbell is also the co-author of Clinical Cases in Avian and Exotic Animal Hematology and Cytology (2010), a hands-on guide that takes the reader through nearly 100 clinical cases.
